‘Little kids on the Downs’ – pre-school age nature club starts on Monday, 15th January 2024

Starting next Monday, 15th January 2024 is the Avon Gorge and Downs Wildlife Project‘s ‘Little kids on the Downs’ – pre-school age nature club

Sessions take place weekly on Mondays starting 15th Jan – 5th Feb 10am-11.45am

4 sessions at £5 per session: £20.00

These weekly Monday pre-school age child + adult sessions are a joyful mix of discovering the natural world through age appropriate seasonal activities and getting closer to nature and your child, in the mature woodland and wildflower meadow of the Downs. Share the experience with like-minded families who value experiencing our uplifting nature with their child.

Each week there is an immersive seasonal theme to the activities, whether that is enjoying a craft or creativity spot and finishing with a warm/cold drink and biscuit while listening to a story. The themes this early spring include: ‘Winter wonderland’; ‘Early birds’; ‘Waking up from winter’; ‘Why do birds sing?’.

These sessions are suitable for pre-school age children 2-4 years with an adult. Younger children are welcome for free but your pre-schooler will need you to enjoy the session with them, engaging in the activities alongside them at all times. Toilets are available at the former Bristol Zoo Gardens site and an indoor/covered space is used in case of very inclement or cold weather.
