The Poetry of World War I – Lecture & Readings

On Monday, 7 Nov at 7pm there will be a lecture and readings of the poetry of World War I at St Mary’s Church, Stoke Bishop, Bristol.

Free entry. Open to all.

The event includes a lecture about the poets and the poems, organised by theme, illustrated by readings of some well-known and some less well-known poems of WW1. The poems will cover a range of subjects such as anger, compassion, joy, sadness, moments of peace and more – all read by professional actors.

Officially designated as a conservation area in 1981, SPRA (Sneyd Park Residents' Association) is a membership organisation established in 1969 and run by a volunteer committee of residents to conserve the character of the Sneyd Park area of Bristol, located on the ancient Sneyd Park estate.
